VESPAS IN THE OFFICE: BV SERIES BY BEL & BEL

A team of young artists from Bel & Bel have found a new use for Vespa scooters that no longer work. These brilliant artists craft interesting-looking chairs using the front shells of the decommissioned scooters. Remember the term “Reduce, Re-use, Recycle”? Now here is a project that does that term some justice, with some added pizzazz.

The Vespa shells are fitted with comfortable and ergonomic leather upholstery. Bel & Bel offers the chair in four different models. The most basic version is the BV-08, which are all pre-designed. Then there are the BV-10 and the BV-12. Both are limited edition models with lots of options for customization. The BV-12 is a numbered series and each comes with a Bel & Bel certificate of authenticity.

Finally there is the fully customizable BV. Not much information is available about this option, but we figure that Bel & Bel will create the chair according to the customer’s specifications. We figure that it should be fun to scoot around in the office with these indubitably unique chairs.

Last we heard, the BV-12 is going for US$2866.
